About Me
Hey!!! :) I'm Nati and I'm studying social work in the beautiful city of Münster. I'm a very curious, adventurous and open person and I'm always happy to meet new people, cultures, perspectives and stories. I live in a beautiful shared flat in the old town of Münster together with my lovely roommate Lea. There's not much privacy with me as I only have my room, but I'm happy to offer my cozy sofa bed for travelers :) I can also show you around Münster, give you tips, we can cook together or you can join me and my friends in our plans.
I am a passionate backpacker and recently spent 15 months on my biggest trip so far. I hitchhiked through Germany, France, Spain and Portugal, hiked the Camino de Santiago for 40 days and sailed to the Canary Islands as a boat hitchhiker. There I bought a sailing boat with 6 other (kinda crazy) travelers and together we crossed the Atlantic to the Caribbean. After 3 months in the Caribbean, I sailed to South America as a boat hitchhiker and traveled to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in the following months. I am incredibly grateful for the journey, for all the experiences, encounters and all the hospitality I have experienced. Now I am very happy to be able to give something back and host travelers myself. <3
In my free time, I love cooking (vegan), being outdoors in nature (walking, hiking, swimming, gardening etc.), doing yoga, reading, going to concerts and other cultural events and I am involved in a university group for socially just climate and environmental protection. I often philosophize with friends about how we can make the world a better place and live more sustainably and in solidarity, and I try to do my bit.
Besides that I’m quite creative and enjoy taking photos, writing, painting etc. In general, I appreciate the little things in life, like stargazing, reading books to each other, getting cosy on the sofa in front of the fire with a hot tea, playing a board game, strumming the guitar a bit or cuddling dogs. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If I travel I want to get to know locals because I really want to learn about the culture and the life of the people living there. I love to share experience, time, friendship and think we can learn something from every encounter. :)
