About Me

Hi there! I grew in the Mid-west region of the USA and have lived in Chicago and San Francisco while pursuing my education in psychology. I recently moved out to Arizona where I live happily with my partner, Johnny. I feel very fortunate to have moved around the country and experienced the unique qualities of each city along with how they bring out different parts of myself. My life has been full of adventure! I'm often doing activities such as camping in the mountains, hiking through the desert, spending a weekend away for a music or yoga festival, cooking vegan food for friends, or just spending time with loved ones. I feel my best when I keep active and have fulfilling relationships. I enjoy working towards becoming a healthier person physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Within the past year, I completed my degree as a psychologist. Before embarking on the next chapter of my career, Johnny and I are taking a six-month trip around the world. In order to see more of the world, we are backpacking on a budget. Several friends have recommended couch surfing as an excellent way to meet like-minded folks around the globe and can offer a more local perspective to visiting a city when compared to hostels/hotels. Being a 'people-person,' I'm attracted to the more personal experience you get when sharing someone's home and the opportunity to interact with them on a more meaningful level than the front-desk person at a hotel. I'm also hoping it can help extend our travels longer if it allows us to save some money! So far, our trip includes Spain, Croatia, India, and all around Southeast Asia. If we're lucky, maybe we'll cross paths on our journey :)
