I'm only 22 years old, so I have a whole lifetime ahead of me to say I have done something amazing. So far one thing I think is amazing is my job. Working in a non-profit early learning center that takes in children from shelters is rewarding but not easy. It breaks my heart when my students who are 18 months old come into the classroom starving because they never got to eat breakfast, are in the same clothes from yesterday, havent been bathed, and who's diapers are spoiled. It reminds me that I may not be in their lives the whole time but I'm there for that exact moment they need me. To give them love, affection, and warmth. I have no regrets in being a teacher.
