Overview
About Me
The following are just assumptions:
I'm silly. I'm chill. I'm extroverted. I'm reliable. I'm hardworking. I'm handy.
The following are things I know to be true:
I like to dance. I'm always down to meet new people. I doodle cute things and, instead of drunk stories, I have sleep stories. There's nary a car, bar after 4:30am, friend's place/sofa/floor, wall I haven't fallen asleep on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My house was never a quiet place. Hotels and guesthouses are usually impersonal and detached. I like to feel the walls I'm in between breathing, knowing there's life cursing through it, memories bouncing off of them.
Interests
I like driving, playing tennis, playing with my dog, talking to my dog, pretending I'm a dog to my dog. I like libraries, working in them hanging out between stacks. I like packing. I like finding the perfect song, I like finding myself in the moment. I like finding others in the moment. I like finding myself with others in the moment, realizing we are in the moment, and remembering it as we are in it. Words that are what they mean: silly, adventure, chill; and any word ending in -us: octopus, platypus.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Insipid pop (Brit, Madonna, boy bands), house music , Iron and Wine, Tom Misch, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Anita O'Day, Arctic Monkeys, Tokyo Police Club, Architecture in Helsinki, Au Revoir Simone, TLC. It's pretty much all over the place.
Movies: Anything that feels like you're intruding on personal space. Before Sunset, Eternal Sunshine, Spanglish, Annie Hall, Sideways, Garden State, etc.
Silly stuff. The Office, Parks and Rec, Flight of the Conchords, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Daria, Friends, Bob's Burgers, Louie, Scrubs.
Books: Fahrenheit 451, Metamorphosis, Oedipus. I was a Comp Lit major, this is too hard. Basically anything classic with an unintended hideously large amount of homoeroticism, like Gilgamesh or the Greeks, historical whores like the Boleyns and Pompadour. Anything regarding Rococo, Rothko or Pop-Art. Anything Kafka, everything Kafka, anything remotely Kafkaesque. Lit theory, social justicey stuff. Magical Realism, Cyperpunky stuff. A lot of things.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Do CPR on someone until they had a pulse again.
Figuring out some of my mother's recipes.
I got my friend to love Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but that is not amazing, only necessary.
Teach, Learn, Share
Let it be, and then kick It in the face and make it be, and then build a fire with the remains and dance around it with your friends in little clothing and lots of spirit.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughs, hopefully.
Moments, honestly.
