About Me
Hello! I am an artist from America, who grew up in Kenya. I love to travel but don't get the chance to travel very often. Right now I am resettling in western Pennsylvania after four months in Morocco and Spain for an artist residency. I couchsurfed for the first time during that time, and would love to return the hospitality that was shown to me - and keep in touch with the travel community at the same time.
A few things - my hometown is listed as Pittsburgh, PA but I am actually about an hour and a half north of Pittsburgh. I'm in a small town in western PA that's in the middle of nowhere, so a car is essential if you would like to stay at my place. This makes my place perfect for road trippers - probably not so good for anyone visiting the US without a car.
Otherwise, I can offer you a couch or spare bed in my house, a shower, and wifi. Depending on my schedule we may be able to share a meal or two, and I might be able to show you around the town. To be honest there's not a lot to see in town, but there are some great places to hike and explore relatively close by, if you like the outdoors!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love making connections from all around the world, and the exchange of ideas and stories across cultures. When I'm traveling, couchsurfing is a nice option to have - and when I'm not traveling, it's a way of staying in touch with the outside world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lately I've been reading poetry - Mary Oliver, Debra Marquart, and Wendell Berry are some current favorites.
Music... currently obsessed with Kendrick Lamar, will always love Glass Animals, Alabama Shakes, Kings of Leon. While traveling in Morocco I was introduced to gnawa, and Polo & Pan. I love discovering new music!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam at night in the Indian Ocean - no lights, no moon or stars. It was terrifyingly amazing.
