Overview
About Me
I'm an American college student traveling this summer to make a film for my senior thesis. I study environmental science and literature at school and get around almost everyone on rollerblades. I'm super passionate about music and play several instruments (quite poorly!) I love to travel, explore, try new things and meet new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to save some money while traveling and help others do the same. I've also met some really wonderful people through couchsurfing and love being a part of this warm and unique community.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love everything from 60s rock, jazz, and soul to riot grrrl/ punk and electronic music. As far as books go, my favorite writers are Lydia Davis and Elizabeth Bishop. I'm also a sucker for magical realism and postmodern literature by people like Italo Calvino, Borges, Milan Kundera and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The best book I've read recently is Bulgakov's Master and Margarita.
I would love to chat about whatever books, musicians or films you are passionate about!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few years back I did an apprenticeship with a master experimental hot air balloonist. The apprenticeship involved building and flying in a handmade hot air balloon (you can see the finished balloon in my last photo!)
Teach, Learn, Share
After spending two months in Rome this summer I have some pretty good tips for the perfect pasta :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm an easygoing student who is always down to play music, drink a beer or just chat with a host.
I look forward to learning more about you and so appreciate your hospitality :)
