About Me

I teach English as a second language and have been living in Guadalajara, Mexico for about 4 years. I live with my husband and through his family I’ve become very immersed in Mexican culture and everyday life. I’m a huge foodie and adore discovering new cultures and ideas. I have a chill personality and am a good listener.

I’ve gotten used to solo travel over the years as most of the people in my life have more rigid work schedules but I’m grateful because it’s opened the doors for me to break out of my comfort zone and make friends with so many amazing people on my trips. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people when I travel and think it’s the most authentic way to discover new places and cultures. My favorite interactions are with those whose lives are completely different from mine because it makes me realize how connected we all truly are. There is nothing more amazing than the ability to have friends from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music I love almost every genre! Some of my favorites include 90’s rap, Latin Trap, oldies, and banda.

I’ve watched more TV shows than I’m proud to admit haha and am always discovering new ones.

I’m a pretty big Stephen King nerd and would consider him my favorite author.

I spend a huge amount of time listening to podcasts and some of my favorite topics include scientific developments, philosophy, and travel (surprise surprise).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In a previous backpacking trip I hitchhiked through the majority of Central America by myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about different lifestyles and views! I think we can learn things from everyone we come into contact with if we approach it with an open mind. I can help you practice your English or teach you some Spanish. I’d also like to learn some words of the places I’m traveling in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’d love to make lovely memories together and share great company. We can also practice English or Spanish if you're trying to learn either. I’m not the best cook but I can prepare you some simple recipes if you’d like.
