About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Living with freedom, heart-listening, and creative expression. Currently on a new life adventure living in Germany for this year.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pianist and teacher. I also work as a riding instructor and trainer, particularly with horses who have been labeled as “difficult” in some way but really just haven’t been offered an understanding and positive approach by humans. When I’m not doing music or horse things, I’m often working on paintings, analog photography, or metal sculptures.

I have a great passion for music, literature, art, and animals. I love having adventures and meeting all kinds of people. I love to travel.

My two sighthounds—Godric and Puma—are among the greatest joys in my life.

PHILOSOPHY

Choose faith over fear in life. Live with compassion, flexibility, and honesty.

"As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live." - Goethe

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love hosting and also surfing from time to time. For the past recent years I’ve been delighted to host while I was pretty settled in Portland, Oregon. Right now, I’ve embarked on a new adventure living in Berlin. I don’t have my “own” place, so I’m unable to host, but I hope to surf again this year—I haven’t been the one traveling as much in recent years.

Some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met, I met through Couchsurfing! And I find it so incredibly life affirming that Couchsurfing isn’t about exchanging money, but sharing, making positive connections, and helping each other out. We need more of this life approach in the world!

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Years ago, I rescued and trained a neglected Paint horse named DC. He lives happily in the mountains of Utah now and loves going out on epic trail rides.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Above all, I love having engaging discussions about the world. I also love cooking and would love to share music if you happen to have a piano. I'm really experienced in pet care and can always help with that/dog walk, etc. Can also help with gardening or cleaning
