About Me
Recent photo/film graduate of VCU! I've lived in Richmond for 5 years and have come to love it dearly. I work at a New Zealand style pie shop and a print shop where I run a community darkroom and teach classes .
I'm currently headed across the United States to see the Pacific Ocean (and the bits in between) for the first time ever, driving the whole way! Two years ago I took a solo trip across the middle of America to see the Grand Canyon and couch surfed for the entirety and couldn't have been more blessed by the individuals I met that made my trip amazing. I'm so excited to do it again, for longer! This time I'll be traveling with my partner, Trevor, and my 4x5 studio camera with a darkroom set up in my trunk. The plan is to see as much of the National Parks and as many record & oddity shops along the way as possible.
I'm a photographer, screen printer & writer. I make and sell my own books locally. Very much an Aquarius. Very much a dog person. I'm a collector of artist prints, taxidermy, toggle switches, analog cameras, rocks, gems, plants, cassette tapes, and lucky pennies.
Trevor is a punk! Both a front man and drummer for two different hardcore punk bands in Richmond. He's a music connoisseur & very serious about collecting first pressings of records. He loves reading and learning more about WWII, and is an excellent chef.
We both love old horror films, dogs, cooking together, driving (it would suck if we didn't!) Vietnamese food, listening to records and tapes, watching documentaries, going to bars, drinking coffee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to have a really enriching experience when I travel and I think connecting with and staying with people who know the city well and are open is one of the best ways to do that. I want to provide that for other travelers to the best of my ability as well.
Interests
The creative process! Music and going out to shows. I enjoy food--breakfast especially. Gardening and local farming. I LOVE roller skating. I'm interested in astrology, history, nature, big dogs...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I teach darkroom classes at a community print shop, and honestly it brings me so much joy to see students improve their skills and become confident in themselves and in their work.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about analog photography and take beautiful family portraits for you and send you the prints! I can read your tarot cards... Or I can make you and yours a bangin' breakfast!
Very interested in learning ceramics or painting or metal smithing or woodworking, or yoga! so if you have a studio or workspace, I'm interested!
What I Can Share with Hosts
