Overview
About Me
Through my travels in Central America for the past year I have grown and learnt a lot. I have much more appreciation for nature, culture and the earth. I still love music and natural therapies. I still love making and eating yummy healthy and nutritious food and getting my hands dirty in the garden. But now I see things a little different and a little deeper. I really appreciate not having internet in our lives and treasure the moments after a hard day working in the sun on a farm where we sit around together in the dark chatting, singing and playing guitar. I love connecting with my music, on a much deeper level. I feel like the music that flows out of me is coming from somewhere else.
I love getting up in the morning and practicing my breath work meditation with kundalini music playing in the background.
I love being. I look forward to eventually going home and sharing all the amazing things we've learnt on our travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people especially from other countries and sharing
Food, culture, music and knowledge together. My partner Adam and i are currently traveling through Central and South America. So we are looking forward to meeting lots of interesting people along the way. We hope to make deep connections with people and offer our home to them in a year or so from now when we begin our own permuculture farm back in Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music; anything i can sing and or dance and or play to. I went to the Tribal Gathering in Panama recently and really connected with the Dessert Dwellers. Some of my favorite bands from home are Chet Faker, the Waifs, Xavier Rud, Cat Empire and John Butler Trio
Books and movies;
Generally fantasy stuff that helps me escape like Game of Thrones and Robbin Hobb.
I recently read Ishmael. Which I highly recommend to anyone interested in saving the human race or making this earth a better place. Other books that have really shaped my path include Primal Body Primal Mind, The Power of Now by Ecart Tolle and his other more recent book A New Earth.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Graduating from Veterinary school.
Sailing across the Bass Straight on a tall ship TWICE with two awesome bunches of people whom I will never forget.
Catching a bus ride for 6 hours across Zambia alone to an uncertain destination
Realising that everyone ( or at least everyone i know and love and who is worth knowing) is a little bit crazy.... ive started writing a song about this. Its still in progress.
FINISHING my first album - very much home made. I did the art work and everything myself!
Travelled through the whole of Central America by road. Mainly chicken buses.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching learning and sharing has been a huge theme of our travels. My partner Adam and I have learnt Spanish, yoga, breath work and meditation and food fermentation. I now teach kundalini yoga and breath work and we have found ourselves sharing the art of fermented foods to many travelling friends.
Adam is a carpenter and I am a veterinarian and we have found lending our skills and advice have helped many a travelling companion.
