Présentation
À propos de moi
I grew up in the US but have lived abroad for about 17 years, mostly in France and in Turkey. I am currently learning Turkish, and yes, my Turkish should be way better than is it for having lived here for five years. But I'm not giving up :) I am fluent in French and also speak some Spanish and Portuguese.
I consider myself a half-ass vegan, meaning I try to cook vegan but sometimes indulge in cheeses and desserts (so yes, I'm not really a vegan ;) I can be quite opinionated about American politics, especially in this (hopefully) post-Trumpian era, but I try to keep my cool! Like the good "Frenchwoman" I am, I love wine, but am more the connoisseur of beer (my dad's a truck driver and I'm from Ohio - my love affair with beer was written in the stars). I try to be stylish in my own way, but don't really like being fashionable, if I can help it. I can sometimes be goofy, and don't like when people take themselves too seriously or are self-important. I am someone who has a strong personality and is not afraid to tell people what I think (respectfully) and hope that they will return the favor. I am constantly looking to improve myself - in my relationships with others, in being willing to admit my mistakes and flaws. I know that there are so many things in the world that I don't know, so I am always open to learning, listening and studying.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I have been on CS for about 12 years now and have infrequently travelled and hosted during that time.
The experiences I've had in CS have been absolutely memorable. I surfed in Liverpool, Evereux (France) and Valencia, Sevilla and Granada, Romania and Hungary. I also couchsurfed a lot in Turkey, in Diyarbakir, Mardin, Antep, Istanbul, Cappadocia and Antalya.
I love talking learning about the culture and history of a country from people rather than a book.
Centres d'intérêt

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I mostly just listen to Forro music, but I know, I need to branch out :) I like lots of other things, but I don't feel the need to write a long list about it.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I generally travel solo. I love the challenge of mastering a city by myself.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I'm a good language teacher (French and English), and I am currently trying to work on my Turkish.
If we meet I can teach you how to dance Forro :)
