About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission in life is to fence and make art!!
ABOUT ME
I live in the one and only Brooklyn, New York! I live in a vibrant artist neighborhood where I make art and curate shows with my art collective made up of some of my best friends. I am also an athlete on the US Team and I am on the FIE World Tour. I get to compete in cool cities all over the world but when I can I try to take some time to explore the amazing places that I visit.
PHILOSOPHY
I am just trying to be here
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurf when I have time to explore and my roommate and I love to host when we can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first experienced couchsurfing on my downtime while competing in Europe. From there, I have been meeting people, occassionally hosting, and perhaps more couchsurfing will be in my horizon as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
I am obsessed with Harlem Renaissance literature... Plum Bun, Native Son, Cane, Quicksand, Passing, Their Eyes Were Watching God. But I also love Toni Morrison (The Bluest Eye, Sula, Love) and Bebe Moore Campbell (Your Blues Ain't Like Mine). The Island Under the Sea (La Isla Bajo el Mar) and The Young Revolutionist (by Pearl S Buck) are also among my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been to Cuba four times... This is an amazing opportunity for an American because only a few citizens (mostly athletes and diplomats) are allowed to travel there.
I stayed with a family the last time that I was there and I hung out with all of the neighborhood kids. They all told me that I became Cuban on that trip. I loved the warmth of the people there so much. I cannot wait to return next year!
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach the sport of fencing, a love for reading, kindness, sharing, welding (I know it sounds random but remember that I'm a sculptor), wood carving skills, experimental casting (if I have the right material), painting, and art appreciation.
I would love to learn how to surf, art techniques that I have never learned, and other things that I am unaware of that I will surely learn in my life.
I would love to share my city with travelers!
