Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
moved to France, speak a lot of French and getting to know la culture francaise and beside that doing my PhD (right now preparing a fieldtrip to Inida)
ABOUT ME
I love to travel and explore different cultures, landscape etc. I also love to just wander around or sit and watch people or landscape, this is even better with a good cup of tea or a glass of wine :-)
Last year I traveled Nepal, India and Thailand and worked parttime in a geological consulting office. Two month ago I started my PhD in Geology (for the ones who are interested I'm working on the interaction between tectonic, erosion and climatic change and all this in the Himalayas).
I love being outside in the nature hiking, camping, climbing, surfing or just enjoying. On a rainy day I enjoy making silver jewellery or just read a book or bake cakes. I enjoy drinking a beer with my friends at the end of the day.
I´m an openminded person, who loves to talk and meet other people and cultures. I'm positive and try to always see the good side of life.
PHILOSOPHY
-Die Langsamkeit, sie ist das Geheimnis zum Glueck.-
-Slowlyness is the way to happiness.-
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I met so many people doing Couchsurfing while travelling and I love the idea to show people my country and the other way around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have one couchsurfing experience from my stay in Cuba. it's special in cuba because cubans are not allowed to host couchsurfer. but my cs friend in havanna showed me the city and tought be a lot about cuban culture. it was a good experience.
Where I really learnt, how cool and great couchsurfers are, was in Santa Cruz, California, where I stay for 3 weeks for universtity. Within a week I had a couple of really good friends, who made my stay perfect... thanks everyone!
