About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just sticking around

ABOUT ME

I am optimistic and curious (always), open-minded, bon-vivant (especially in the evening, currently trying to extend this to 24/7), lazy (at times), easy-going (most of the time) so...

Likes: my job; travelling; discovering new things; good wine (esp red); meeting interesting people; occassional "doing nothing".

Dislikes: all kinds of intolerance; pretty much anything that limits one's personal freedom; boredom; crapy books.

PHILOSOPHY

It's pretty much "enjoy it while it lasts". For that reason I prefer good food (which is hardly ever healthy and/or organic), have no retirement plan and no religious beliefs/views (I am agnostic, so my official position is that anything is possible).

Interests

Arts and all the related topics; human mind and how it works; making this world a better place (still figuring out how I can contribute); personal and professional growth; cooking; salsa music and dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies top 3: Amelie; Wong Kar Wai's "In mood for love" and "My blueberry nights", "Before the sunrise" (or is it four?).
Music top 3: Cranberries, Lester Young and
Books top 3: J. Cortazar "The hopscotch", M. Kundera "The unbearable lightness of being" and something else I haven't read yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Still looking foreward to that one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am interested in all the aspects of learning and not just "learning to get a degree/qualification/access to a profession" or "learning to do your job better/to make more money", but also learning in a larger context, learning as an ever lasting process, as an experience which defines who we are and how we live our lives. I also believe in the power of intraspection/self-analyse as a skill designed to shape our lives. I'm always happy to share and exchange any knowledge at all (there are very few things I am not curious about).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russian Federation, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Denmark, Sweden, Ukraine
