About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find a home in San Francisco, and then explore the West coast from there.

ABOUT ME

I just graduated college and am moving from the East coast to San Francisco for an editorial internship at an environmental magazine. I don't know anyone in the city, and I am psyched to meet and explore!

I've never used couchsurfing before, but I have traveled a lot. I volunteered at a biological reserve in the Ecuadorian Andes for a summer, wrote about indigenous artisans and resin research in the Peruvian Amazon, and cycled 4,000 miles across the United States and Canada. As soon as I get an apartment in San Francisco, I would love to host fellow travelers.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in muddy feet, sun-glazed cheeks, sweaty armpits, and good company.

Music, Movies, and Books

Robert Pirsig, Michael Pollan, Herman Hess, Yann Martel, Khaled Hosseini, and... you should look me up on goodreads.com!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two years ago my four friends and I cycled 4,000 miles through the United States and Canada. We camped on the side of the road and met lawyers, fishermen, and activists along the way. My favorite part was Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where we cycled four (or five?) mountains, slept in a Buddhist monastery, and hiked until a group of horses charged us in a valley.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little about yoga, hiking, cycling, belly dance, dumpster diving, website design, and photography.
I can also teach Spanish or Ukrainian.

I would like to learn more about all of those things, and also about San Francisco, bicycle mechanics, and gardening. And juggling!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ecuador, Peru, United States
