About Me

I am an artist, foodie and explorer - but most importantly, I'm a dessert lover. So if you guide me to where the artists hide, or where I could find the BEST underground local food + dessert, or hidden gems of Singapore, I would love you forever and promise I would do the same if you ever come to Canada!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am an Urban Planning student from the University of Waterloo in Canada and I am headed to Singapore from May - August for an internship at National University of Singapore, Institute of Systems Science!!!!!! I've never been to Singapore, so I wanted to try couch surfing for the first time to meet people but also learn more about the city through you guys!

Music, Movies, and Books

- not really into movies, but super down if it is going to change my life
- love to listen to anything that will make me want to dance
- books I love include: Perfume by Patrick Süskind, poetry by Mahmoud Darwish and Amjad Ibn Ghada Haj-Yassin, and anything really that makes me either cry so much or allows all goosebumps to attack my skin with love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've worked in a refugee camp in Jordan where I helped architects and engineers with their focus groups, translation, and such

Teach, Learn, Share

I've worked in Turkey as a English Facilitator were I helped university students learn how to communicate in English, but I also volunteered at an institution where I helped local kids from low-income families learn how to grasp the english language. I'm still a student at the University of Waterloo, but I've had many internships and experiences in Barcelona, Turkey, Jordan, and many random countries and cities I've visited. I'm really trying to expose myself to all countries and learn more about the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help you with housework but also accompany you through your day. I'm really looking for a safe space where I can bond with someone but also learn more about the environment before I get to start work.
