I am a Bolivian kiwi (my mother is a New Zealander and my father is Bolivian). I grew up in Bolivia and have been living in New Zealand since I was 18.

Loving life at the moment - doing things I love including my work and during my spare time. My mission is to travel, learn and keep growing as a person by learning from people from different walks of life. Love people who challenge my way of thinking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When going to a new city, I think the best way to get a good feel of it is to talk to a local. Easy to find the touristy things to do online, but all you get the way is the same thing every other tourist did! Nothing beats local knowledge. Show me your favourite food/beer/music spot!

My first couch surfing experience was hosting three Argentinians in Wellington during the Rugby World Cup - and that was great! I also couch surfed in Brazil which I really enjoyed. Pub crawled in São Paulo and went for a night swim in Florianopolis with my hosts! Hope to host more soon when I get into a new flat.

Interests

I absolutely love live music and dancing, pretty much anything (maybe not death metal)! I do Latin dancing like salsa, bachata and I am learning zouk, but also enjoy electronic music and some good Kiwi dub and roots! I like to have interesting conversations about the world, culture and politics. Also enjoy the outdoors, going hiking, for walks and camping - but while in Europe in the winter I'm sticking to the cities close to cafes, museums and pubs!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all sorts of music, depending on my mood and what I am doing. I love watching a good TV show, including Game of Thrones, the Strain, the 100, and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went trekking in Rotokas mountains in Bougainville with a community based Eco-tourism group (just two humble guys trying to do the best for their communities). Will never forgot how amazingly beautiful and special that was.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk to you about Spanish, Bolivia, living in Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. I can also try to teach how to dance salsa if you're interested! Or we can just hang out, eat (yum!) or have a drink and have a good chat.
