About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet new people and celebrate both our differences and how much we all have in common.

ABOUT ME

There are two of us, Natalya (28) and Robin (40).

I enjoy travel, cooking (although I'm gluten intolerant) and sampling new experiences. I find psychology fascinating and love meeting new people and getting a glimpse of their life and beliefs. I like to share stories of travel or just to understand what other people enjoy most in life.

Recently, Robin and I took a road trip across Western USA, taking in the sites of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. We really loved Utah. Monument Valley and Canyonlands offered some fantastic walks and views across a fierce landscape of sand and rock. We experienced temperatures of 50 degrees (123 degrees F) in Death Valley and thoroughly enjoyed visiting all American diners and driving part of Route 66.

---

Robin is my other half, sociable, easy going and fun to be around. Like myself, he enjoys being outdoors and taking long walks into the countryside. He is a developer for a software company and can often be found playing computer games or reading books. He will happily chat away on a wide range of topics and always likes to learn new things. He studied Micro Biology at University, although his dream job would be a palaeontologist. One of his main interests is cars. He makes good beer and bread too.

Countries that Robin has travelled to include Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, USA, Brazil and Morocco.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in responsible/ethical travel and like to try new things and explore new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By sharing memories and experiences and helping other travellers when we can. Learning about new cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We travelled around Denmark, staying with CS hosts. I was amazed by the openness and generosity of our hosts and how welcome we felt. Also, we discovered so much more than had we have stayed in hotels. Such a different experience.

We have been hosting too and I have enjoyed getting a glimpse into the lives of our guests. We've met some great people and I have enjoyed getting a different perspective on so many things, but equally by realising how much we all have in common.

Interests

We both enjoy travelling and being outdoors. When on holiday, we like to go for walks and see the countryside as well as getting to know a new city.

I also have lots of creative hobbies such as photography and web design.

Food is one of my main passions in life. Although I am a celiac (no bread, pasta or pizza for me unless it's gluten free), but I love to cook.

Robin is a programmer and enjoys rock climbing, learning new things, languages, meeting interesting people and cars.
