ABOUT ME

We did a lot of backpacking around the world, enjoying meeting people and learning about their way of living. Then the children came... After a long pause we first took a few road trips and in 2019 our two girls were finally big enough (9 and 12) to go backpacking. They loved it!
We enjoy nature, all kinds of sports, mostly outdoor ones (walking, cycling, tennis, climbing, paddling..).
Music, reading, movies are also important but they are not a priority at the moment.
We're trying to keep our lives as simple as possible. Ecology is very important to us and we're really trying to do as little harm to the earth as possible.

Our most memorable days as travellers were when we stayed with locals. They give you so much more than a guide book! So, now it's our turn to do the job.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We only had perfect couchsurfing experiences. People who have the guts to invite you to their home after they've known you for a few hours share the same character: they just have to be hospitable and trustful, than they are always open, easy to talk to, helpful...

Interests

Backpacking used to be our main hobby for more than 10 years. Travelling for us is a combination of adventures, meeting people, learning (about) languages and about the past and present of the country, its politics, economy, architecture, music... These are all our main interests in our daily life as well.
