Thanks for stopping by on my profile, I'm Natasha! I was born, raised, and lived the majority of my life in Toronto. For the past three years, I've lived and worked full time in remote/rural parts of Northern Ontario.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I actually stumbled upon Couchsurfing through a traveller's Instagram page years ago when I was in Asia.

I am on Couchsurfing to meet locals in the various countries/areas I plan on travelling through, as well as other travellers! I enjoy learning and constantly strive to learn something everyday. With meeting new people and creating new friendships, comes the ability to learn from other people, their perspectives, and their culture.

Interests

Some of my interests/passions include the following:
• I am passionate about hockey - playing it, to be more specific. I grew up watching hockey and at age 15, I finally had the privilege to start playing it! Fast foward 10 years later and it is hands down my favourite sport and form of exercise.
• I love yoga. It is an essential part of my life and helps me take care of my physical and mental health.
• I am an outdoors enthusiast. I love hiking and exploring new trails (short or long). Walks are equally important if I'm not able to access nature or hiking trails. The most I've hiked in a short amount of time, was 46km within 35 hours. Nature is an essential component in my life and a large inspiration in my creative work/art.
•Art is a big passion of mine. On the side, I have my own small art "business" where I attend local craft markets and sell a variety of my artwork and jewelry. An online shop will be in the works soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessed the Northern lights dance on more than one occasion in Northern Ontario. Swam along side a sea turtle in the coral reefs at Gili Air, Lombok.
Lived in a part of Canada where I couls see the night sky bursting with stars every night. Modelled for a professional contemporary artist who painted me (that painting is now up for sale in a gallery).

I would love to share my love for art. We could possibly create something together.

I would also love to learn from each other - talk about everything from culture to music, climate change, and everything in between!
