About Me

Well I'm a history and sociology student so meeting new people is obviously a huge interest. Sadly, can't say i have any wild hitchhiking stories from around the world but, well, you've got to start somewhere so hopefully couch surfing will provide that start! Pretty laid back, am up to do just about anything; be it spending the day exploring or just relaxing in a underground jazz bar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everyone knows the tourist sites of a given city - you just have to google it - but to really enjoy a city at its heart, you have to discover it with someone who knows and loves the area.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mean asking someone their favourite music or film is just cruel, it's impossible to choose!
I guess based on me in this very moment Grateful dead's "American Beauty" album is the winner. Of course there are long term loves such as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Aaron and the Johnsons, The Doors, Amadou and Mariam etc. but well, there isn't much I'm not sometimes in the mood for

Right. Movies. Well who doesn't love the Cornetto trilogy! Hmm so many films to choose from... I do have to admit, I love the lord of the rings series. There, i said it, and i'm not ashamed. And of course, woody allen must be accepted as genius filmmaker, regardless of the rumours surrounding him

And finally...books. Historical novels and non fiction are what interest me at the moment but if i were to choose favourites, it will always be the childhood classics. They will always stay with me.
