I'm Tash, a 22 year old Anthropology graduate from Durham University.

I'm a pretty outdoorsy person - I am an avid skier and adore animals, especially horses! I also love food and wandering around street food markets. When at home and not travelling, baking is one of my favourite things to do and I can whip up some mean cakes! I also volunteer for St John Ambulance as a first aider and I used to work as a ski instructor for little kids.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing as it gives such a brilliant opportunity to have the best travelling experiences! I tried it for the first time last year on my friend's account and we spent 3 weeks exploring Poland and met the most incredible CS hosts and had an incredible time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Danced and drank hot sake in the falling snow at the Nozawa Onsen Dosojin Matsuri (or Fire Festival) in Japan, whilst watching the local men battle with flaming torches to burn down a wooden shrine as part of a yearly traditional ritual!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to bake and cook, and will happily get involved in the kitchen!
