Overview
About Me
I'm an old soul that's always marched to the beat of my own drum. My goal is to never stop learning, growing, evolving, and broadening my perspective. My ultimate fear is looking back after living a full life and realizing that I never really lived or made my dreams come to fruition.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently traveling the world and am looking to meet people and make connections, learn about new culture and point of views, maybe even walk away with a new friend. And also to help stretch the budget so that I can travel as long as possible. I’ve been a member since 2015...when this traveling the world was still a dream, so now I am taking advantage of this awesome community. Please, have faith and help me build my references!
Interests
I'm all over the place as I refuse to be put in a box. There's very little I'm not into and am willing try anything twice.
Right now my interests in particular are: adventure, learning more about photography, creating a blog, learning Spanish, and exploring the possibility of becoming a food critic/journalist.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I tend to listen to RnB and hip-hop the most but listen to almost every genre.
Movies: The Reader, Goodfellas, Dirty Dancing, Home Alone I and II
Books: The Art of Happiness, The Town that Food Saved, On the Road
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Doing it right now...living my dream. I quit my job, sold my house and belongings and am backpacking the world. Floating whichever way the wind blows me and waking up each morning not really knowing what life has in store.
My partner in crime suggested I write that I've swam, cageless, with sharks. My family is from Hawaii and I did it through a Palegic Program in the North Shore, it was pretty exhilarating!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Classic Pilates that can be done in your home
Learn: Travel stories and reccomadations, acoustic talents, foreign language, surfing skills
Share: My hair skills... let me know if you want a cut , I brought along my shears. But also adventures, Bush walks, American culture, and my free-spiritedness.
What I Can Share with Hosts
These things are challenging enough to fill out...didn't I just answer this question? But if must think of something else...I enjoy cooking and it's most enjoyable doing it with others and sharing a meal over a bottle of good wine.
