ABOUT ME

I love people. I love cities because they are full of people, with stories and experiences that influence my own. I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone and even if we don't speak the same language I will still give it a shot. I am a California-girl. I love the beach and the weather and some of the people (I am not into the Hollywood scene). I am really laid-back and very outgoing. I don't own much but I am rich with experiences. I like to think of myself as a modern hippie. I have been living in Bilbao for the past two years and have fallen in love with the city. My days consist of learning Spanish (and slowly but surely French) and teaching English. I keep myself centered with daily doses of yoga. I am here to live and to learn and Couchsurfing is an amazing tool to help me enhance my experience here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently moved to a new house with great new roommates who embrace the Couchsurfing community. I hope to host travelers as well as meet up and possibly couchsurf in other cities.

I have met up with people in a few cities and it has always been a positive experience.

As a geography major I have studied where and how people live. I love to look at maps and dream of what life must be like in other places. But that is what I just do when I have some spare time. I love sports. I have played soccer most of my life and continue to play. I also play tennis and practice yoga and pilates. I love to read novels and some poetry and discuss them with whoever will listen. I love architecture and running and if I can find a city with great architecture to run in I am content. But most of all I love to travel, anywhere and everywhere. I always up for an adventure and I love to meet new people. I love food and wine and will never turn down an opportunity to help in the kitchen. I also enjoy spontaneous dance parties and all-night extravaganzas.
