About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work less travel more

ABOUT ME

My parter Dave and I live in Perth city centre. We love to travel, we loooove good food & drinks and great company!

I resigned from a great job in Perth in May 2011 to travel for 18 months. It has been something I've been waiting to do for 8 years, and finally the right time has come. My colleagues said that I will be free as a bird and poor as a mouse when I'm back.

I'm a very happy person, mostly because I'm rather oblivious :). I believe I am a considerate person, love my family and friends, very independent, and super sociable as I enjoy making new friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry, be happy...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have enjoyed hosting in Perth, and got to meet heaps of wonderful people. I'm looking forward to surfing during my travels, and taking my hosts to yummy dinner so that I can try the local food (I am not a very good cook).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experience has been great so far. I have hosted many awesome surfers. I'm looking forward to hosting more in the future, and surfing to meet the locals when I travel.

Interests

I love to travel. I take heaps of time off work every year to travel in Australia as well as overseas. My longest travel is probably 6 months of backpacking trip in Europe when I finished university - probably one of the best time of my life! And that is why I have decided to take 18 months off work to travel in 2011.

As we hardly cook, we eat out most of the time (breakfast, lunch and dinner), but we try very hard to cook 3 times a week (although this has not been very successful). We looooooove good food and drinks. We spend heaps of time with our friends and family - going to interesting little pubs, wine over dinner in a nice cafe/restaurant, bbq in the park etc.

I love movies as well, especially foreign movies. We are very spoilt here in Australia as we have 2 tv channels that are dedicated to foreign movies.

Last but definitely not least - I love fashion :). That's why I have loads of clothes/shoes and no house :).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love European movies (The Green Butchers, Solino, Seducing Doctor Lewis, Blame it on Fidel, And They Lived Happily Ever After, Ugly Melanie, Bread & Tulips and many many more... but I can't remember their titles).

I love all sort of music, but maybe not rock. I particularly like the jazz/swing sort of music, especially for Saturday and Sunday mornings :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The 2004 Tsunami in Thailand. We saw it coming, and had to run up a hill (and got a stitch while running - bahh!).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Indonesia, Singapore
