ABOUT ME
i think ive done enough rambling below..
PHILOSOPHY
i laugh lots. i notice small things and maybe with this i can excuse myself for being way too easily amused.
im gullible, people take advantage of this and i get laughed at which makes me giggle and think "man sometimes i am SO SILLY!!" i could quote a few gems but ill save them for later :)
i dont take life too seriously, in someways i still have a child's perspective. im really good at thinking that everything is just lovely and will work out just the way i want it with out thinking or planning too much. but i like it this way and i find it works. i like being spontaneous. im not very good at deciding, for fear of missing out on something!! ie. hand me a menu at a resturant, you might have to decide for me but probably we will have to share!
im incredibly jumpy. if your surprise me a squeal really loud!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
participating in this awesome project!
Being part of the couch surfing requires people to give so others can gain. whether you are surfing or hosting it goes both ways so i try to do both!
I hosted a few people while i was in canada and surfed a bit too! I stayed with many people all over mexico as well san francisco. I feel so lucky to have met so many absolutley amazing people that allowed me to experience living in their country, being apart of their culture and apart of their family!!
I am now back home in New Zealand and look forward to giving back to others :)
REMINDER TO ALL: THIS IS NOT A DATING ORGANIZATION!
look elsewhere if this is what you are interested in!!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
so late night, going home ( in vancouver after being there 2.5 weeks) my bus has stopped running so i take one that goes close-ish to where i'm going, figuring i can walk the rest of the way.. i fall asleep, miss the stop keep going some where random, wake up, pitch black outside, me and one person on the bus, no idea where i am. guy is sina, a kiwi, offers to drive me home, kind of dodgy (situation) but good gut feeling, and all is well! We meet up later in the week for a 'tour of Vancouver' have a great day and become super good buddies to the point where he offers me a room to crash in and i end up living with him and his flatmates for 2-months and we even went on a vancouver island road-trip together! he's my second brother now, we laugh, fight and wind each-other up and laugh some more its great, I even celebrated persian new years with him and his family! (his mum is cuuute! and an amazing cook!) good times :)

Music, Movies, and Books
this block should include food. if it did i would say deep fried ( so warm! ) cinnamon and sugar covered donuts. not the cold bread ones you americans eat but donut donuts. Dont get me wrong im big into good food and eating well and healthy and love love trying new things but donuts and toasted warm gooey cinnamon wheels are my weakness! quote " stop adding cinnamon! why do you have to put cinnamon in everything!! this isn't supposed to have cinnamon (giggle giggle pour pour) STOP with the frikin cinnamon!!)
back to the good food thing, tomato sauce or should i say 'ketchup' i despise being used on eggs. so if i cook you a big yummy amazing breakfast you'll know now to not ruin it by covering it in the big red.
Overall, i love food and love making food, travelling has only intensified this and i now love cooking canadaian/san franciso and mexican inspired dishes with their typical ingredients!
I now always have fresh chillies, cilantro, and lime on hand! No one else seems to quite understand!
besides ketchup, smoking is sure on my list of dislikes :O .. sure if you smoke thats fine and your choice and I'm not going to fuss just don't ask me for my opinion about it!! ill give you a lecture!! and it will make you laugh :)
movies all i can say is i like the good ones that have a decent plot, good characters and possibly make you think a bit after or enlighten you more into another way of seeing the world.
saying that silly movies that make you laugh and cry are great. thanks canada for introducing me to pineapple express - LOVE!
books maybe the same with decent plot etc, im quite picky with writing style, with the first sentence im pretty good at anticipating a good read to an average one. My travels to mexico has led my down a sort of foriegn book reading path, with many books being translated and others in beautiful but cryptic poetry! "beauty is convulsive" by coral bracho (about Frida Kahlo) is amazing, and The Shadow of the wind by carlos ruiz zafon is pretty cool too!
Music is a major part of all good things in my life. i love a wide range of music but cant say i tune into the top 25 radio countdowns. i like hip hop, the older type.
also modern soul/funk, reggae, electronic, alternative, indie and pretty much everything.
Travels has also got me into "world reggae" which is pretty cool, think reggae mixes into gospel mixes into tribal vibes mixes into indian mixes back into dub and reggae sort of thing ...!!
i love acoustic guitar. life doesn't get much better with a bunch of friends jamming with a guitar. i wish i could play. this year im hoping to learn.
piano i got bored of and my drum kit got sent back in high school, parents and neighbors didn't like the my beats..
Teach, Learn, Share
since travelling to canada i have learnt that us kiwis have some rather SILLY names for naming stuff!! (if that makes sense!) most of these you will pick on yourself but to name a few: togs, chilly bin, mince :D
KIWIS are known for the way that we drink so i can teach you a few deceivingly potent cocktails i guess :) favorite being golden grapefruit, mint, a splash of soda and 2L of vodka. mmm
