About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be content/happy and help others find contentment! :)

ABOUT ME

so me in a nutshell...Agh! so much pressure to sound interesting jejejee...well I suppose i would characterize myself as an extremely happy individual. i smile and laugh at just about everything. obviously i absolutely love traveling and meeting new people :) although i do enjoy having a night out with my friends i also enjoy reading and listening to musics of all sorts. i'm a pretty low key person, would rather have a drink and listen to live music somewhere than go to a club/disco. hmm...i'm really really easy going and i don't get offended very easily.i hope to bring others as much happiness in their lives as i have experienced from others in my own, be it by the most simple way like housing someone for a night and showing them a good time!

PHILOSOPHY

-life isn't as dramatic as its played up to be.

im not religious but lets through in a mother Teresa quote here :) hah
-live simply so others can simply live.

-Develop interest in life as you see it; in people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.
Henry Miller

-contentment is the greatest wealth in life

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

it really is the best way to travel in my eyes. i met such interesting, fun open-minded people. wouldn't give the experiences up for the world!

these are such a "couchsurfy" quotes...

"From this hour I ordain myself loos'd of limits and imaginary lines,
Going where I list, my own master total and absolute,
Listening to others, considering well what they say,
Pausing, searching, receiving, contemplating,
Gently, but with undeniable will, divesting myself of the holds that would hold me.
I inhale great draughts of space,
The east and the west are mine, and the north and the south are mine.
I am larger, better than I thought,
I did not know I held so much goodness.
All seems beautiful to me,
can repeat over to men and women You have done such good to me I would do the same to you,
I will recruit for myself and you as I go,
I will scatter myself among men and women as I go,
I will toss a new gladness and roughness among them,
Whoever denies me it shall not trouble me,
Whoever accepts me he or she shall be blessed and shall bless me."
-Walt Whitman

For all its material advantages, the sedentary life has left us edgy, unfulfilled. Even after 400 generations in villages and cities, we haven't forgotten. The open road still softly calls, like a nearly forgotten song of childhood. We invest far-off places with a certain romance.
-Carl Sagan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

my father's will and endurance to change his life from a poor child in Bangladesh into a man that has the luxuries of the "1st world". He has given me opportunities he never could have dreamed of having as a child. how lucky i am to have such a strong person be such an influential part of my life! :) he is truly amazing.

CS is an Amazing thing as well. i couldn't believe there was a world with so many trustworthy, generous people in it before i joined CS. complete strangers become friends through this webpage and are so kind to one another with nothing more to gain but understanding and knowledge about the world.

Countries I’ve Visited
