Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What couchsurfing adds to the experience of meeting new people is that people tend not to really care how they present themselves to 'a passing stranger'. The fleeting moment that you are somewhere for some short amount of time, nudges you to establish real communication with people, and if we could all do that on a daily basis at home, that would be great. :)
