About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission - should I choose to accept it? Bada bum tshh (yes, alright, sounded better in my head) – is to meet lively, lovely, and humours (but down-to-earth) people from all around the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm a Danish girl in my early 20s who moved to Reading the 26th of January, 2014. Before that I lived in Broadstairs, Kent for a period of 3 months before Christmas.

I spend my gap-year in England and loved it. There I got introduced to Couchsurfing, and thought I might keep my profile now that I'm back in Denmark. I'm studying Drama at University at the moment.

PHILOSOPHY

I suppose that my personal philosophy, though I'm not entirely convinced that I have one, is that no matter what I won't go on a treasure hunt unless journey is worth-while, never mind the bloody treasure. (please excuse the bad metaphor)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I can't host -seeing as I don't have a couch -, I can play tour-guide. So, if you're going to Denmark, come to Aarhus and I'll show you around or we can just meet up for a chat and a cuppa.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little; learning as I go along, I suppose.

Interests

I have a passion for everything artistic. I love to draw, paint, sing and dance (though I'm good at neither), and - of course - act, which is my biggest passion of them all.

I enjoy architecture, culture studies, books (classics mostly - everything from The Hobbit to Emily Brönte), healthy discussions of ethics, personal philosophy, or on the few tv-shows I actually see (Sherlock (BBC) and Game of Thrones, being two of them).

Silliness and an enthusiastic reproach to life is something I respond to, especially, which means that I enjoy taking nonsense as well. I have a strange, sometimes dark, sarcastic sort of humour and I can handle a joke on my expense.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music a lot and I like everything from Johnny Cash and Tchaikovsky to Michael Jackson and Alt-J. Variety is the key-word, here!

As I mentioned before I like to read things by Tolkien, the Brönte sisters, Jane Austen, Conan Doyle, Wilde, but I also like to read Harry Potter and things by obscure unknown authors and playwrights.

Besides of course the film-version of my favourite books, I like horror-films, 007, Star Wars, Marvel, and once again, obscure unknown indie-films. My favourites are American Beauty and Amelie.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, anyone who can teach me to cook will forever have my respect.

No in all seriousness I just want to meet people and "learn" people. Though if there is someone who could teach me more BSL (British Sign Language) it would be appreciated without doubt, but you don't really need to possess some skill that I want to get to know me.
