Michelle: Hi! I'm half Czech half American and am currently taking a semester off from college to travel. I am a huge fan of getting to know other cultures, philosophies, and seeing the beauty of our Earth! Back in the US I have a cat named Miso and spend a lot of my time making art, studying a variety of things, doing volunteer work, and hanging out with friends! I'm also vegan and like having colorful hair :)

Nate: I'm a big fan of adventure and knowledge! I like seeing new places, thinking about math and science, and playing guitar in my spare time. I like running and skiing and good conversation. I have a brilliant partner named Michelle who I absolutely love, and a sheepdog named Albert too! I'm also vegetarian!

Us: We met at a Buddhist monastery and have been adventuring together ever since. We have road tripped across the U.S., spent half a year living in Portland, and now are traveling the world!

We are currently on a multi-month adventure around Europe, India, and Southeast Asia! We are mostly hostel jumping and backpacking, and our hope is to get to know local cultures and traditions very well and to meet cool new people! Couchsurfing seems like another great way to do this, and we are excited to try it out!

Michelle: I love all kinds of music but right now am mostly listening to soft music like the band Oliver Riot :) . My favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings series. My favorite books to read are poetry books and interesting sociological books. Right now Nate and I are reading Metamorphosis by Kafka together!

Nate: I really like classic rock and Daft Punk. I'm a big fan of the Star Wars movies and my favorite book is Meditations by Marcus Aurelius .
