About Me
A few years back I was in a stagnant place in my life. Worse yet I could feel my self growing comfortable there, not taking chances or risks. I knew I wanted something more, but I didn't know how to go about it. Growing up, I was very conservative with how I lived my life. Acting older than my age, I always played it safe and took very few risks. But I started to realize that I wasn't happy. I had let fear dictate who I was becoming. Ironically that scared me even more. I made a resolution that I would start doing things differently from that point on. Since then I have tried and failed at some things. I've opened myself up to heartache and pain, but the rewards I've experienced have been far greater. I'm on a journey to learn about myself. The best way I can think about doing that is removing myself from my comfort zone, gaining new experiences, and meeting new and interesting people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to visit new and interesting places, but traveling can be expensive. Couchsurfing provides travelers with the ability to go to new places and meet interesting people while saving some money.
Interests
I love love many different kinds of music, movies and TV. I love the outdoors and hiking. I stay active and workout everyday. I play a little guitar. I love to learn new things, and I'm open to try new things. A sort of personal motto for me is: If someone, somewhere does it or eats it, I'm willing try it or eat it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like rock, indie, a little hip hop, and edm. As far as movies go, I watch a lot of movies, I like all genres and have too many that I like to even begin to list them. I don't really read too much fiction. What little I have read in the way of fiction has been themed around distopian futures, such as Orwell's 1984, and A Clockwork Orange. I also like to read some poetry on occasion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Can't really say its that amazing, but I completed basic training and AIT training for the military, and I achieved an Iron soldier certificate for having one of the highest physical fitness tests in my class.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little bit about music, and can teach some fundamentals, as well as some introduction to the guitar. I can speak some Japanese and Portuguese and know a little bit about both cultures. I'm pretty tech savvy and know about computers and programming.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be an easy house guest. I'm considerate of others and am polite. I don't have any quirks or oddities that would make you cringe. I wouldn't be a bother or in the way. I'd be willing to share what experience I've had up to this point in my life with any host I meet.
