Overview
About Me
I'm a musician, writer, and photographer from Seattle who makes his money largely at a coffeeshop, but who makes his true loves financially meaningful whenever possible. I like traveling alone and having a mix of visiting friends and meeting strangers in the process.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have traveled in groups more than alone, and am excited to meet new people in new towns.
Interests
I play piano in every style possible, from rock to jazz, soul to psychedelic, and on. I also dabble in guitar, accordion, and saxophone. My interest in photography has led me to build a dark room with friends and work on short films that show at festivals like SXSW. I majored in English and love to read, particularly poetry and philosophy, but a good Victorian novel as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jazz, Folk, Classical, Psychedelic, Rock, Too many to name. Films, I love foreign films, such as Blue (Kieslowski,) the works of Wim Wenders, Mirror (Tarkovsky,) anything by Ingmat Bergman, Ozu, Haneke, or the Dardenne bros. For poetry, I love William Carlos Williams, Frank O'Hara, Czelaw Milosz, William Carver, Denise Levertov, Elizabeth Bishop, Mary Oliver, Ann Sexton, and many others from the mid 20th Century.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a capable cook, with a wide variety of tastes. Specialties include goat cheese salad, huevos rancheros, curry, salmon, and the best oatmeal you've ever eaten. I can be low maintenance and independent, or available to hang if you want to show me your favorite spot, either way. I enjoy museums, drinks and billiards at a dive bar, a good local show, or an independent film, or even just a walk around the nearest park.
