Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm broke but will not give up on travelling. Also the idea of really meeting the locals seems like a major reason to travel, learning about different cultures, just trying to figure it all out. I heard about couch surfer from a friend when I told him I was planning a trip to Europe, hoping to be a guest for the next few weeks. But when I get back home will open my house for all, can't believe I haven't heard of this until now.
