I'm a recent ex-software developer who's off to experience the world first-hand. Writing code to cure cancer (former occupation) is satisfying in a cosmic sense, but I wanted a change.

So I've quit my job to travel the world long-term, a longtime dream.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I already have a fair amount of travel experience, but so far the way I've traveled has mostly made me a world tourist, not a world citizen.

I'd like to be more of a world citizen.

Interests

World languages, world cuisine, sailing, frisbee, mountain biking, books (sci-fi, historical fiction, fantasy), music.

I'm also interested in picking up skills / knowledge that never go out of fashion, such as auto maintenance, carpentry, and agriculture.
