CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to travel through France via my abroad class at The Evergreen State College in WA, USA and eventually end up finishing the quarter studying meditation and philosophy on a 2 week camping trip south, through the Eastern mountains in France.

ABOUT ME

My friends would probably talk about how sociable I am, and how that can be a great thing but also a vice when it comes to getting my work done to be honest. They'd probably talk about my empathy, my photography, my jokes and willingness to make people happy. How I keep a startlingly clean room, how I love to party if I don't have any responsibilities, and how I can't live a day without music. They might speak of my connection to Western psychology and Buddhism, and how I only believe in things that there is evidence for.

PHILOSOPHY

I would call myself a pacifist, liberal, agnostic. I believe in evidential things in the universe, but am open to metaphysics in that we just may not yet have technology to measure some "magical" things out there. I believe in karma and Buddhism, and create a positive vibration and attitude wherever I go. I don't believe passing judgement on anybody is ever my place, unless they've wronged me personally or they asked for advice as a friend. In a nutshell, live and love - and be the change the change you want to see in the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd be glad to clean, I think it's simply immoral to leave dishes I dirty in the sink or unclean. I'd be thrilled to contribute singing or harmonica to any music happening in the household. I love kids and have worked with them in the past, through Social Services. I can do most any physical labor like chopping wood or lifting heavy objects, etc.

Interessi

Meditation, photography, philosophy (Hobbes, Jung, Vonnegut, Descartes, Nietzsche) music (listening, not producing), interested in anything BUT American country music, most rap, and metal. I love hiking and the outdoors, and I plan to spend much of my life camping throughout the world.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I've seen many great bands live including The Shins, Modest Mouse, Matt & Kim, Bob Dylan, The Decemberists, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes. Moments of deep awestruckedness happened not only during those lovely shows, but also in my deep meditation in forests surrounding the Northwest Pacific Washington. I find a lot of peace in nature.

If you happen to smoke tobacco or such herbs - I've taught many people how to blow a mean smoke ring!
I can teach a good amount about cooking and preparing nutritious meals, diet plans, and general health tips. I know a bit about bikes, and a lot about computers! PC's mostly, but I am very well versed in them and could potentially show you how to take out / put in new components on a Desktop.
I know a good amount about photography as well! Exposure, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, what they all do and mean, and how to set up good lighting for certain situations.
