About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living in the Now

ABOUT ME

About me. Well I'm half german half french and I have been travelling all my life basicly. What else to tell?!

PHILOSOPHY

If you smile, Life will smile back to you!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I guess I convinced a couple of my non-CS friends that it's so amazing, that I had someday some requests of them to become their CS-friend :)
Organise for friends who are not on CS a couch here and there with people I've met through CS, and sometimes not! It is such a great pleasure to see how friends meet up even without me :o) It makes the World slightly smaller!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was to surf TIM's couch with BRUNO in London.
Then I had a couple of people from basicly everywhere at my place in Berlin.
Thanks to this CS adventure I finished in a lovely pub with an Irish singing some songs; introducing a swedish CS to some band I know in a dodgy club and then he showed me how they drink in his country; a venezualen introduced me into paragliding; I went on a chinese evening date with a canadian (still missing the pic!); had a sushi eve with my CS; met an american CS at my farewell party and met him again in NYC; finally got into CS meetings in Montreal which gave me the chance to get to know a lot of really interesting people with whom I even became friend with.

Interests

Travelling (of course), trying to improve surfing when I get time, cooking :o), bootcamp, going out (especially concerts!), having hot chocolate afternoons when it's wet and cold outside, picnics in parks, making snow angels, hiking, biking at day time and even more at night time when it's hot outside.

My new passion is making cupcakes since they offer a little bit of creativity on a small surface and also do any sort of Do-It-Yourself-projects. Creating something from your own two hands is such a rewarding feeling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

♥ Cooking and surfing in Saint Girons Plage (France) in Summer '07
♥ Kayaking on Lac Lajoie (Quebec) in Fall '07
♥ Late nite biking through Philly to get some fresh Pretzels (april '08)
♥ Watch the sunset in Kelowna (April '08)
♥ Dog Sledging around Québec City (February '08)
♥ BBQ next to the Tegernsee (June '08)
♥ And I have seen in 2007 that there are a hell of good people out there among the less good ones! You just have to pick out the right persons and life can be just much sweeter!
♥ A two months travel with friends through Canada and the US and that everything went on well and we had the chance to meet fabulous people on our way.
♥ Swiming in the pacific ocean, and seeing a dolphin just swimming a couple of meters from me (December '10).
♥ Road trip to Cornwall with 5 other people, pretty random group, but such a wonderful time with lots of laughing (June '11).
♥ Learning very (very, very) basic Chinese with Michel and also learn a lot about her culture which made me really want to get into depth with China. (July 2011)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: introduced some band to a CS, let a venezualen taste some "Glühwein"

Learn: about paragliding, vegemite (yuk! -> after a certain time being with an Australian I have to admit... I do like a lot vegemite and cheese sandwiches!!), how to throw a frisbee (but actually forgot it again... I'd better go back to Boston for another lesson!)

Share: my farewell party with a CS, a drink in a parc, some brunches, lunches, diners and drinks, a spontaneous basketball game
