I love exploring new places (don't we all) and actually love travelling solo, but am always on the look out for people to meet, places to eat (almost all my daily decisions revolve around food), and things to drink.

My main motto in life is "Why not?" Within reason, I'm willing to try anything and will generally just go with the flow and see where life takes me.
This has led me to:
- Booking a solo flight to Nicaragua 2 weeks before my departure date
- Hitch-hiking with a man in a pick up truck on the side of a Thai motorway at 2am
- Eating alligator, Kangaroo, kudu, and lamb brain
- Jumping up and down on a mysterious foreign object which later turned out to be whale blubber
- Most recently, booking a flight to Utah on a Thursday eve to leave the next afternoon, frantically booking a car the next morning, and and flying out to spend the weekend road-tripping and hiking round the state with some awesome couchsurfers!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I just moved to New York and travel a lot for work. Usually they are happy paying for my flights no matter what days I travel, and I often really want to explore the places I get sent for work and stay a few extra days, so couch surfing , staying with a local to share their knowledge and potentially making a new friend all at once seemed like the ideal solution.

As soon as I have a place big enough I'll be becoming a host to return the favour to the community, but that's pretty difficult to come by in NY :(
That being said, I'm more than happy to show you round the city, take you to my favourite food joints, and generally be a friendly face if you're visiting and in need of company and or recommendations.

Pretty open minded and will talk about almost anything, but my interests in my daily life pretty much revolve around food, yoga, and HIIT Pilates.
I like to dress up in costume and make a fool of myself, dance to cheesy music, and generally try not to take myself too seriously. I've visited 30+ countries and will always always willingly share tips and recommendations.

Unsure how to categorise my music preferences - everything from bonobo, odesza, red hot chilli peppers, the cardigans, fleetwood mac, taylor swift... It's varied and random.

Movies - back to the future, big lebowski, gran torino, zoolander, this is the end. Again many and varied.

Books - Not so secret massive Harry Potter geek. Dabbling in Sci Fi.

I'm a trained inferno hot pilates instructor. It's basically interval training using pilates principles, in a warm room, set to awesome music.
I'm very, very happy to teach my hosts/ their friends. Just ask!!
