Hello everyone! I am new here and happy to join the community!

My name is Nathalie, I live in the East of France very close to the borders with Luxembourg and Germany, and I work in Luxembourg as a Sales and Marketing controller.

I am married and my husband and I recently moved in our new home where we have some spare bedrooms to share with travellers. We have no furniture yet in those bedrooms but we can arrange comfortable beds for your stay anyway. We have no kids but a big cat is sharing our lives. This said, we are unfortunately unable to receive your four-legged friends.

Our house is in a very small village, 30 minutes away from Metz and Luxembourg city (we can arrange a pick-up at Lux airport as I work right next to it), approx. 1hour away from Saarbrücken. We have a thermal domain at 10 minutes and many hiking routes and castles in the area. End of June you can also enjoy the medieval festival of Rodemack (one of the most beautiful villages in France) located only 10 minutes away from our place.

I love nature, learning about cultures and traditions that are different than mine, sharing my traveling experiences, I love discovering other countries/regions food specialties, good wine and good beers, I like spending an evening in good company around a little glass with nice music, wandering around beautiful historical cities and villages, I love jokes (all kinds of) and I am easily contaminated with people's good mood.

Thanks to this community I would like to meet persons who share the same values as mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered the concept not long ago through a group of travellers and I was completely seduced by the idea.

I would like to receive fellow travellers, share with them our experiences, travel through their stories and meet some of them when I am travelling so that they can make me discover their region and, eventually host me.

For me it is a human adventure before all!

Interests

I have been travelling since I am 18 yo (much less since I am working but it still is my greatest passion). When I travel I am looking for the experience and the emotion more than to "see everything there is to see".

I started practicing Yoga and meditation not so long ago and it makes me feel very good and peaceful.

I would like to start learning photography soon, I am interested in landscapes (especially with morning or evening lighting), animals and inanimate objects of everyday life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a volunteer in a Brazilian association for a year to teach English to underprivileged kids. An experience that was incredibly rich in love and sharing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I offer to make you taste some of my region's or nearby regions specialties (chocolate, candies, Mosel wines, Abbey beers...)
I am also willing to share and contribute for a nice dinner and wash the dishes afterwards.
Other than that, I offer to share a good moment in a good atmosphere and mood in the respect of your home and of everyone who lives in it.
