I come from Austria and live as an au pair in California at the moment. Being an au pair is an awesome experience, because I can combine working with children, what I love, getting to know with another culture and traveling. Traveling just makes me happy s ).

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I've heard about a lot of good experiences people have made with Couchsurfing, so I thought, "Let's try it too!" It is something completely different when spending time at a local person's place. Staying at a hostel can be nice too, because you get to know with many international people, but I visit a place, because I want to experience the culture and get to know with the locals there. They know best about the town and can give you the best advices.

Interessen

meeting with friends,going out, family, board and card games, traveling, baking, sports, music, dancing, reading, singing (though I am a really bad singer, but who cares, you should do in life what you like to do ;) )

I love going on vacation to warm places and going swimming in the ocean. The sea is not so far away from Austria, so I try spending even some days once per year somewhere warm. The sea, the beach and the sun make me happy.

The good thing is that I don't have to go far for ski vacations, because Austria has beautiful mountains :)
