About Me

Hi,
I'm a 29 year-old independent filmmaker from Australia travelling around Europe for a couple of months before moving to Montreal in June.
I'm friendly, open, fun and love getting to know people and learning about their lives. I'm equally comfortable hanging out and chatting or going off exploring doing my own thing. I'm passionate, ambitious, curious and love life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had housemates host couchsurfers before and we've had a great time, so thought it was about time to see what it's like being a guest for myself!
Getting to experience a city through the eyes of a local is always my preference when travelling and would be a welcome relief from the whirlwind of hostel living. I've noticed couchsurfing hosts tend to be warm, friendly and people-loving - the ideal combination when you're a stranger in a new city :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite films I've seen over the last couple of years:
- Import/Export
- Post Tenebras Lux
- LOVE
- Stinking Heaven
- Entertainment
- Clip
- Reality

My favourite band is The Brian Jonestown Massacre but I think we all know nobody will ever be as good as The Beatles

Books:
I tend to read longform journalism a lot more than books, but some of my favourites are:
- The Corrections & Freedom by Jonathon Franzen
- On Creativity by David Bohm
- Anything by Bukowski

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting to spend a few months travelling while making 2 different films with my best friends in 2014 was a great experience that I'm keen to have again!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you've got an interest in cinema (or creativity in general, really) then we will have lots to talk about!
My interests are wide-ranging and I try and be open to all sorts of new experiences, from the spectacular to the everyday.
It's important to me to be in a constant state of learning, it's so essential to creativity and is the only antidote to my fear of apathy and stagnation!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A passionate approach to life, a genuine curiosity about yours, a warm and empathetic nature, and a love of fun!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, United States
