I recently graduated Cum Laude from Waldorf University in Forest City, IA with a BA in Psychology. I intend on joining the US Navy soon and eventually returning to school in order to receive a doctorate. In the interim period, I want to travel a bit and work to build experience, both in the professional realm and in everyday life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel is one of the great experiences in life, and meeting locals and interacting with them is an added bonus. It is my hope that the experiences gained from surfing will benefit me as a person as I hope to benefit those who host me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many types of music, especially when the lyrics are relatable. In addition, I am a big fan of comic books and comic book related movies, action movies, comedy, and the occasional horror film. Regarding books, I am a big fan of fantasy and science fiction novels, horror, war stories, and inspirational testimonies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in a 21 day backpacking excursion during which there were a variety of backcountry activities including climbing and biking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have wrestled since I was 4 years old and have been an assistant coach for a variety of teams. In addition, I have tutored a variety of undergrad level students in general psychology courses. I intend on furthering my education in order to counsel and educate individuals struggling with abnormal psychology issues or mental illness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am willing to work around the house and am willing to be as social or as quiet as they want me to be.
