About Me

Hey friends,
I'm Nathan, Tennessee boy living in NYC. New husband to Brian (married July 2017) and newly working in travel. We travel whenever we can.

Lover, artist, analyzer, encourager, photographer, nature boy, water-lover, man of faith, leader, dancer, music-lover, conversationalist, helper, jokester, singer, adventurer, critic, jogger, foodie, southerner, cook, bargain-hunter, tutor, traveler, beach bum, problem-solver, peacemaker.

And constantly evolving.

Love and peace.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had amazing experience with Airbnb hosts, but I'm not picky or fancy. So many airbnbs are just rentals now; no interaction; no new friends. My first couchsurfing experiences were in Iceland and Norway. Amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Folk, jazz, R&B, Soul, Motown.

I'm into good TV more than films these days, but I love watching all the Oscar nominees. Pixar films, gooddocumentaries, thrillers.

I enjoy light reading- comedy and sometimes mysteries. Just getting into graphic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked for Mickey Mouse and flew through the air wearing green tights in shows on a cruise ship.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy experiences in which I can learn about languages and cultures, and I love to show people around my city or cities that I have gotten to know well.

I like to listen and talk about cultures, faith (very open) and family, relationships.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My knowledge of inexpensive and free things to do! I can spend next to nothing on entertainment in NYC!

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
