Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet amazing new people in the places I am fortunate enough to visit - and learn about local life and insights. My first Couchsurfing experience (staying in Çanakkale, Turkey) was too much fun and a brilliant way to get to a know a city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I play in a few bands - mainly indie pop and folk, but trained in jazz and listen to everything from theatre to metal to world music. Most recently on my travels, I've seen Sigur Ros and Tonight Alive live. Recent books I liked include Killing Pablo (Mark Bowden), Eat Pray Love (yes, sorry...), and those by Anthony Bourdain; this week I'm reading The Narrow Road to the Deep North (Richard Flanagan). I'm a huge fan of comedy and documentary films and very slowly getting through some Netflix original TV.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungy jumps in New Zealand, drive through Iceland, snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, climb abandoned buildings in the Balkans, eat in Japan...
