I studied math at UC Berkeley and worked as a union organizer before quitting my job to travel. I’ve been fascinated by traveling since living in France for two years as a child, and want to have as diverse an array of cultural experiences as possible. Currently I’m living on Reunion Island teaching English! I love hanging out and getting to know new people! I like being in nature as well as cities, and I’m always down for anything -- hiking, parties, museums, hanging out, or whatever else is happening.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to jazz, funk, rock, reggae, Afrobeat, and other music, especially recent jazz being made now. I like the directors Bergman, Kurosawa, Wim Wenders, and Tarkovsky especially. My favorite recent authors are Pynchon and DeLillo, but I like reading more classical books like Don Quixote, the Odyssey, Gilgamesh, and Inferno.

I’m always excited to talk about anything at all, especially music, math, history, books, news, or anything else. I’m also happy to help with cooking, cleaning, or anything else that needs to be done. I’m interested in hanging out and getting to know you as much as possible!

Also, if you have any instruments, I would love to make some music. I play drums and other percussion, and piano/keyboard!
