Overview
About Me
I studied math and worked as a union organizer before quitting my job to travel. I spent some time in Latin America and lived for a year in Reunion Island, while traveling to parts of Africa. Currently living in Sestao, Bizkaia with my girlfriend and working remotely — please read My Home section for information if you’re interested in staying with me.
I’m trying to learn new languages and experience new cultures. Always interested in hearing about people’s lives, backgrounds, and perspectives.
I love hanging out and getting to know new people! I like being in nature as well as cities, and I’m always down for anything -- hiking, parties, museums, hanging out, or whatever else is happening.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to explore as many places as possible and meet the wonderful people who live there! I've had so many awesome experiences on Couchsurfing and want to keep meeting new people to learn from and have fun with.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like listening to jazz, funk, rock, reggae, Afrobeat, and other music, especially recent jazz being made now. I like the directors Bergman, Kurosawa, Wim Wenders, and Tarkovsky especially. My favorite recent authors are Pynchon and DeLillo, but I like reading more classical books like Don Quixote, the Odyssey, Gilgamesh, and Inferno.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dozens of monkeys traveling together in the forest in Tayrona, Colombia, and backpacking along the beach in the Lost Coast in California.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really interested in talking about anything, but I know a lot about math, history, geography, music, language, and literature, and I'm always excited to exchange and learn from others!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m always excited to talk about anything at all, especially music, math, history, books, news, or anything else. I’m also happy to help with cooking, cleaning, or anything else that needs to be done. I’m interested in hanging out and getting to know you as much as possible!
Also, if you have any instruments, I would love to make some music. I play drums and other percussion, and piano/keyboard!
