About Me

I grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and Gaithersburg, Maryland near Washington, D.C. I graduated from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California with a degree in accounting. In the future I will start a business in food sustainability (aquaponics or vertical farming) so that people living in cities have easier access to wholesome food and the ability to grow it themselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet locals while traveling, instead of only staying in hostels and meeting other travelers. I want to get a deeper sense of the culture in places I visit.

I took a break from studying and backpacked across South America for seven months when I was twenty years old. I learned Spanish and learned about many different cultures and peoples in the region.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an experienced meditator with a daily practice in the Vipassanna tradition, although I also have some experience with Zen. I am also somewhat experienced in Vinyasa Yoga and will be attending teacher training in Thailand soon to become a certified instructor. I am knowledgable about nutrition, health, wellness, and food systems.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A new perspective, open mind, and an easy-going guy to hang out with. More than anything I want to learn about your city, region, and your personal story! Nothing fascinates me as much as learning about people's stories and their cultures, and all the ways in which we are all so alike yet different. I'm polite, respectful, friendly, neat.
