ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Nathan. I'm easy to get on with, amicable, social, clean and tidy (love to cook) and am keen to meet some new and interesting people through couch surfing. Some describe me as quite British. Not quite sure what they mean sometimes, but I suppose I do have a sensibility about me. I like to meet people with different interests and opinions to myself - makes life far more interesting and worthwhile surely!
PHILOSOPHY
Work hard, try hard and apply yourself: That way you'll get the most out of what you do. And take everything/everyone on an individual basis - non judgemental - no assumptions made - be open minded to learning new things and having your opinions changed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've heard lots of great stories from people who have couchsurfed so thought I'd try it out myself. I've travelling a bit and met people on my way who have strongly recommended it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None to date yet, but that will be changing this summer as I'm spending 3 weeks in New York and the nearby area.
Interests
I'm training to be an architect right now so anything design/buildings/spatial gets me excited, but I'm also into my sports, hiking; love trying new food. Bit arty, bit creative, like to be cultured, whatever that really means. Although I wouldn't describe myself as political (I don't have particular strong/radical views) I do like to discuss politics/international affairs and enjoy hearing about different life experiences to myself. In short, I'm happiest with good company and some good chat.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books - used to have a bit of an obsession with post-war American fiction. Music wise, I listen to a bit of everything. Enjoy discovering new artists/bands; non genre specific, although I'm into that odd cross over genre between folk/drum&bass right now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A manic minibus ride through a Bosnian mountainside to a tiny mosque buried into the hill. Whilst staying in Mostar (Bosnia) our hostel owner took us up there. Always bring back a laugh. Or a bike ride through the Transylvanian countryside to Dracula's make believe, but actual castle (he has two - a fake tourist one, and a real one - even though he is fictional!).
Or just those cups of teas you have with your closest friend at any hours of the night - I like the simple pleasures.
Teach, Learn, Share
Love sharing my interests/hobbies with others (if you ever want to learn to cook I'm your man!)but equally learning skills from the people. I normally can find some shared interests with most people so i'm sure we've got some things we can share.
