Full of lust for life. Eager to travel. A bit of a rascal.

Interests

Quite obviously, it's travel that makes my heart tick. But is that any different for you guys, you whoreson cullionly barber-mongers? In particular, I love interacting with locals and getting off the beaten track.

Literature would be another major interest of mine, especially Russian literature. One of my favourite authors is Konstantin Paustovski: his ability to describe atmosphere in such a rich language gives me the shivers. Apart from novels, I love reading about history and politics.

One of the things I love about life is the food and drinks we can put in our tummy. Tasting new flavours and dishes is one of the major joys of traveling. I'm an absolute fan of Belgian beers, but also love a good wine or whisky...

I really like playing sports and exercising: I love swimming, rock climbing, running, playing squash or badminton...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting on a mountain in Northern Thailand, listening to 'I can't live without you' by Whitney Houstan with a ridiculous view, together with a fellow traveler who took care of me a bit because I broke my wrist (a bucket shower becomes suddenly very challenging). A moment of absolute happiness.

Being in a scary car-crash in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, involving an old lada with no breaks and an old man on a bycicle.
