ABOUT ME

We are a fun loving couple that enjoy life. We have grown our family over the past 2 years by adding 2 shelter puppies (no longer puppies one is 60 pounds and the other is 50)to our pack. We love our dogs like they are children and they are super spoiled. We currently have 4 dogs a daschund, a poodle look alike, a lab and a black mouth cur. All loveable in their own ways. We love Alabama football, we enjoy traveling, and also love trying new food. Our new current obsession is Sushi. We will be happy to show you some good down home Southern cooking. We are both very outgoing and I have been told I can be on the loud side. I like to say I have big lungs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We will be happy to accommodate anyone willing to travel to the great state of alabama with a very comfortable couch and we also have blow up mattresses. We love meeting new people and if we can make friends in other countries that makes this even better.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently we don't have any couch surfing experience but we are traveling to Europe in march and would love to have the opportunity to try it out.

Interests

Nathan: Sports, trying new beer, seeing new places, finding undiscovered territory, taking the unbeaten path, the beach, the mountains, interesting people

Merrill: Traveling, cooking, the Beach!! Tennis, Reading, Wine, crafting!! love making things!

Music, Movies, and Books

We have a collection of movies that range from dance movies to action movies. Books I have enjoyed reading are Jaws, Jurassic Park, any tom clancy book, James Patterson, Richard Layman, Stephen king. These are just a few and I am always ready to try a new book. I love classic rock we have been to see The eagles, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Allman Brothers, Lynard Skynard, Journey, Styx, Marshal Tucker band and always enjoy going to a good concert. Merrill likes anything with a good beat and loves to dance. We also enjoy a good country song.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things that I have ever seen was a Jubilee on the beach of Mobile Bay. When I was a kid I would go stay with my grandmother who has a house on the bay. One morning we went for a walk on the beach and there were more flounders,fish, crabs, shrimp and eels than I have ever seen before or since. It was like the whole beach was alive. We proceeded to grab as much seafood as we could carry. We filled our freezer full of fish and crabs and had seafood for the remaining week. This was an experience that I will never forget and would love to experience again.
