About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just trying to figure my shit out, then to head back to Germany for a while.

ABOUT ME

I recently graduated with a BA from University and am at the awkward stage of trying to find a better, more relevant job.

Currently I work as a bicycle mechanic.
I absolutely love bicycles, bicycle touring and fixing bicycles, particularly older bicycles(but new bikes are pretty cool as well). I used to spend a lot of time teaching people how to fix their own bikes at a local community repair shop. I also enjoy swing dancing, singing, and listening to music. I consider myself a bit of an odd person, and enjoy meeting other odd people. I've more recently become acquainted with dumpster diving, and highly recommend it

PHILOSOPHY

Relax, look for the little intricacies of life, the beautiful in the mundane, and the fantastic in the ordinary. Work hard, and apply yourself to things, but do it for the right reasons. Happiness is important.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sing, dance, ride bikes, drink, share and often I just like to sit and watch or listen and just experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was in Dresden, Germany after 6 weeks of studying in Kassel, Germany. It was an amazing experience, and I had an amazing host. After Dresden, I also stayed with friends whom I had met through school and couch surfing in Koln, and Innsbruck. My host from Dresden came to Canada a few months later, and I hosted her for a few days in Edmonton.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once canoed down the North Saskatchewan River through Edmonton at 2 in the morning. It was a quiet fall evening, we had strings of bright LED lights hanging from the side of the canoe. We tied onto a concrete water intake which was in the centre of the river. climbed on top, took a few pictures than canoed on. we had a towed the canoe to and from the river by bicycle. It was quite the experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know lots about bicycles, and in general am well endowed when it comes to fixing things.

What I Can Share with Hosts
