About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn, explore, evolve.

ABOUT ME

I'm a guy fascinated by learning about other cultures and languages. I love seeing new places and new things. I spent a semester studying in Thailand, and also had a chance to visit Cambodia. Other then that, though, I haven't been outside the American Midwest much. Hopefully that will change.
I'm also pretty involved in the international scene at the local college campus, with students going to study abroad and international students studying here.

PHILOSOPHY

Take time to enjoy life. Work is important, but if you work your whole life without any time for fun, and then die, what was the point? Enjoy the ride.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Nerdy stuff. Super heroes. Comedies. Horror.
Music: Little bit of everything, but mostly rock and metal. But sometimes J-Pop, becomes I'm strange like that.
Books: Nerdy stuff. Space ships. Wizards. Some non-fiction stuff with an international focus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friends and I attended the celebration of Chulalongkorn Day in Bangkok. We were some of the only foreigners there, and a local TV station even interviewed us.
I had the opportunity to help teach some little kids in Cambodia the English alphabet for a half an hour. It was exhilarating, and it's definitely something I'd like to do again.
A bunch more of my friends and I drove mopeds to a festival in Thailand where they released thousands of sky lanterns. They filled the air like stars. To this day it remains the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about creative writing. If someone is interested in writing a sci-fi and fantasy novel, I can teach a lot about world building.
I'm also learning Swing Dance and Salsa, and when I get better at those I'll be glad to help others learn.
